Jimmy Cirkel

Founder & Executive Director

"Driven by a personal vision to support men facing similar challenges to his own, Jim founded 'Band of Brothers' in April 2025. Beginning as an idea to get men together locally, the vision soon grew into a community-backed initiative, gaining vital early support, after successfully pitching - and winning - at 'Sutton Soup'. His belief in creating safe spaces for men to talk, connect and be heard, remains at the very heart of the organisation today.

Jim’s career began in private security and public safety, working across the London Olympics, major festivals, large stadia and arena environments, and within the night-time economy. He later transitioned into the Chauffeur industry, first driving high-profile clients across the UK, before eventually managing operations for more than 200 chauffeurs countrywide.

When COVID-19 hit and travel restrictions were implemented, international travel quickly ground to a halt in March 2020, so Jim quickly adapted —launching a local removal business, before caring for his youngest sons, on end-of-life pathways and laterly establishing a gardening and landscaping business. This period of resilience, reinvention and community connection helped shape the foundation of what 'Band of Brothers' would later become.

As Executive Director, Jim works tirelessly to build partnerships and collaborative approaches with local organisations, ensuring 'Band of Brothers' continues to grow its impact and strengthen what it offers the community. He also chairs the organisation’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, championing fairness, accessibility and representation at every level.

Committed to creating safer communities, Jim has completed the 'Ask Me' (Change That Lasts) Ambassador Training and is a proud 'White Ribbon UK' Advocate, having signed the pledge to help reduce violence against women and girls. He serves as the Organisational Lead on this essential work."
