"Driven by a personal vision to support men facing similar challenges to his own, Jim founded 'Band of Brothers' in April 2025. Beginning as an idea to get men together locally, the vision soon grew into a community-backed initiative, gaining vital early support, after successfully pitching - and winning - at 'Sutton Soup'. His belief in creating safe spaces for men to talk, connect and be heard, remains at the very heart of the organisation today. Jim’s career began in private security and public safety, working across the London Olympics, major festivals, large stadia and arena environments, and within the night-time economy. He later transitioned into the Chauffeur industry, first driving high-profile clients across the UK, before eventually managing operations for more than 200 chauffeurs countrywide. When COVID-19 hit and travel restrictions were implemented, international travel quickly ground to a halt in March 2020, so Jim quickly adapted —launching a local removal business, before caring for his youngest sons, on end-of-life pathways and laterly establishing a gardening and landscaping business. This period of resilience, reinvention and community connection helped shape the foundation of what 'Band of Brothers' would later become. As Executive Director, Jim works tirelessly to build partnerships and collaborative approaches with local organisations, ensuring 'Band of Brothers' continues to grow its impact and strengthen what it offers the community. He also chairs the organisation’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, championing fairness, accessibility and representation at every level. Committed to creating safer communities, Jim has completed the 'Ask Me' (Change That Lasts) Ambassador Training and is a proud 'White Ribbon UK' Advocate, having signed the pledge to help reduce violence against women and girls. He serves as the Organisational Lead on this essential work."

"Having joined the 'Band of Brothers' in January 2026, Vic is a calm character, with a passion for helping others and those in a crisis. Married to Gill, he has three beautiful children - Amber, Isabel and Tiago. Vic has dedicated both his work and personal life to helping others and currently is an officer of 'Unite the Union', looking after the Unite community members. Vic has witnessed so many go through hardship alone, because they didn’t know where they could get help or even that they needed help. We need to see the signs and step in before it’s too late - Mental Health issues are more prominent now than ever. Vic lives life being kind and humble, never looking down on anyone, unless you’re giving them a hand up. Another passion, since 1970, is Chelsea Football Club, and Vic is a mod and own a scooter and love meeting like minded Mods on our scooter rides out. Keep the Faith"

"Shaped by resilience, reinvention and a deep sense of purpose, Adam Lang is driven by a commitment to empowering men to feel strong, confident and supported — particularly during life’s most challenging seasons. Having faced his own mental health struggles, including devastating personal loss, work-related stress, and the breakdown of a long-term relationship, Adam understands first-hand the silent pressures many men carry. The expectation to provide. The need to appear strong. The reluctance to speak up. These experiences fuel his belief that men deserve spaces where they can be honest, vulnerable and heard — without judgement. Adam spent his entire professional career in Corporate Travel before stepping away to build businesses aligned with his values. Today, he operates a property business and works with Utility Warehouse, helping individuals, families, grassroots sports clubs and non-profit organisations strengthen their financial position. His mission is simple: create opportunities that not only generate income, but genuinely improve people’s lives. The transition from corporate life to entrepreneurship tested his confidence and resilience. Facing rejection, uncertainty and a lack of support from places he once relied on, Adam learned that success must be self-defined — and that perseverance is built in the quiet moments when no one else sees the effort. That chapter strengthened his belief that growth often comes through discomfort. Above all, Adam is a proud father to his 14-year-old daughter, Keira. Whether supporting her at the stables, watching Chelsea, playing football or enjoying time with family, he values experiences over possessions and strives to build a life that prioritises presence. Through his businesses — including his clothing brand So Are You, centred around affirmation and empowerment — Adam is building a platform that encourages people to believe in themselves and each other. His vision is to help men feel empowered in their identity, confident in their direction, and comfortable seeking support when they need it. Adam stands for service, resilience and the belief that strength is not the absence of struggle — but the courage to keep going and to speak openly along the way."

"Shaped by resilience, responsibility and lived experience, Terry is driven by a simple but powerful belief - men deserve spaces where they can speak honestly, feel understood and never suffer in silence. From a young age, Terry recognised that he experienced the world differently. He learned to channel intensity, drive and restless energy into ambition and leadership — building businesses, leading teams and pursuing vision with focus and determination. Professionally, that focus brought success. Personally, however, there was often an unspoken sense that something beneath the surface was harder to navigate. That understanding deepened when his eldest daughter was diagnosed with neurodivergence at just seven years old. In her, Terry saw reflections of himself — traits he had spent a lifetime managing quietly through work, momentum, and constant forward motion. It was a moment of clarity that reshaped how he viewed both himself and fatherhood. Today, Terry is a proud father to two incredible daughters, aged 8 and 15 and is supported by a strong, understanding wife who has stood beside him through every chapter. His family remains his grounding force — each of them uniquely different in personality, teaching him daily about patience, empathy, and perspective. For many years, Terry battled alcoholism. What he later came to understand was that alcohol had become a coping mechanism — a way of regulating neurological traits, quieting internal noise, and chasing endorphins in an unhealthy way. After a series of painful and life-altering alcohol-related events, Terry made the decision four years ago to become sober. That decision changed everything. In sobriety, Terry discovered that what he had been searching for was not escape — but connection. He began speaking openly with other men navigating pressure, addiction, identity struggles, and mental health challenges. Through honest conversations and shared experience, he found a healthier source of purpose and fulfilment. He now believes that healing often begins the moment a man realises he is not alone. Professionally, Terry brings over two decades of board-level leadership across energy, construction, and engineering. As Managing Director and Co-Founder of Surrey Energy Centre Ltd, he built a trusted high-street renewable energy hub delivering practical decarbonisation solutions while working closely with councils, funding bodies, and communities to create meaningful impact. His leadership is grounded in accountability, governance, and service. Alongside this, Terry leads XLR8 MEP Design Ltd, supporting developers and commercial clients in delivering complex building and infrastructure projects. Working within high-pressure environments, he understands first-hand the responsibility many men carry — to provide, to perform, and to appear strong regardless of what is happening internally. Beyond business, Terry is committed to community and education — delivering energy and sustainability sessions in schools, supporting local initiatives, and volunteering in environmental stewardship projects. He believes strength is not simply about achievement, but about contribution. As an ambassador for Band of Brothers, Terry stands for a modern definition of strength — one rooted in self-awareness, accountability, vulnerability, and growth. He believes men do not need fixing — they need understanding. They do not need judgement — they need space. And they do not need to carry everything alone. Terry’s message is clear: True strength is not the absence of struggle — it is the courage to confront it, speak about it, and walk forward together."
